In my spare time I am moderately active in civic and political affairs. I hunt, fish and shoot sporting clays. I collect guns, Connecticut clocks and other dust collectors.

SUMMARIZE YOUR CAREER/PERSONAL PATH OVER THE LAST FIFTY YEARS.

Even though I visit CT at least twice a year, I have spent 40 of the last 50 years in Houston, Texas. I started out at the University of Miami and after 2 yrs transferred to the University of Houston where I received bachelor's in business administration.
After school I joined the Navy Reserve and spent 14 months in Da Nang Vietnam. Then I worked in Hartford for the State of Connecticut Judicial Department for 7 years .
In 1976 I bought 50% of a family business in Houston. We sell wholesale bar supplies. Everything you would find in a bar except the alcohol. A lot of work and a lot of hours but quite fulfilling.
Semi retired for the last 5 yrs working about 20-25 hrs per week.
In addition, I've been involved with real estate and may do more with it as I do less with the bar supply business.

I've been married twice. My first wife provided me with a wonderful daughter and my current wife of 23 years provides with a good life.

whose I have always felt fortunate to have been brought up in New Britain. With one public high school we had the opportunity to be with kids parents came from all walks of life and varied socioeconomic backgrounds.

WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST HOPES AND CONCERNS FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS?
If society could get back to self reliance and personal responsibility it would go a long way in improving the lives of future generations.

Being a member of the Earls Club benefited me in many ways. Often, I have found, it is just as important to be street smart as book smart. A few years ago I came across the bi-laws of the Earls Club and was very impressed with the insight we had as kids.
