SUMMARIZE YOUR CAREER/PERSONAL PATH OVER THE LAST FIFTY YEARS.
I wandered around aimlessly for a while (no surprises there). Then I spent 33 years with the military
saving the world from Communism and getting myself educated. Then I worked as a programmer for a
number of years saving the world from the evil Y2K bug. Now I work an assortment of part time things
saving myself from boredom. All in all I did OK.

WHICH NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL EVENTS HAVE MOST INFLUENCED/IMPACTED YOU SINCE HIGH
SCHOOL?
I’m not much of a political animal, so if something doesn’t hit me personally I pretty much ignore it, but I
am not happy with big government and events around the world are quite disturbing to me. However, my
piece of the world is a happy place so I kind of base my life there and enjoy.

WHAT PERSONAL EVENTS IMPACTED YOU THE MOST?
I made a horrible mistake getting married when and to whom I did. Gasp!! - I won’t do that again.

WHAT ARE YOUR GREATEST HOPES AND CONCERNS FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS?
I wish they could experience and enjoy the world I knew. You had to live in the fifties and see a lot of the
rest of the world to know what freedom is really all about. Perhaps one day it will come back.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN YOUR FUTURE?
I look forward to doing just what I am doing right now for as long as possible and then checking out
smartly and quickly.

WHAT ARE YOUR SPECIAL OR MOST OUTSTANDING MEMORIES FROM OUR YEARS AT NBHS?
Like everyone else, I remember the good times - and there were many. To be honest I am content to let
the past stay there but I do miss the friendships I managed to have. When I remember high school, for
the most part I smile – they were good years. There is a lot to be said for being ignorant and
inexperienced.
